A Group of Five Champagne & Soda Water Taps, late 19th Century: An unmarked champagne tap with with turned wooden handle above a animal headed spout above a long hollow shank leading down to an Archimedean helix, 13½” (34 cm) in length. A champagne tap with ebonised handle above a ring pull, tap and auger helix 7¼” (18.5 cm) in length. A nickle plated steel champagne tap with Archimedean screw. Two nickel plated ”Abyssinian” type champagne taps; marked PATENT H * R made by William H Ryder (invented 1874).
