A 19th Century Mahogany Secrètaire Chest. The rectangular top above a frieze drawer, fall front secrètaire drawer enclosing banks of drawers, over three further long graduated drawers. The hinged pilasters swinging out to reveal secret compartments and mounted by elaborate gilt brass Corinthian style capitals. The piece standing on a plinth base 46½” (118 cm) high, 50¾” (129 cm) wide, 23¾” (60 cm) deep.
