A 19th Century Mahogany Bracket Clock by Robert Burfield Arundel. The twin fusée movement striking a bell with repeater. The 7” (18 cm) wide brass dial with slow/fast ring to the arch flanked by decorative scrolling gilt mounts, similar spandrels adorning the corners, a brass chapter ring engraved with Roman numerals and five minute Arabic markers with pierced steel hands and an engraved centre decorated with sprays of flowers & foliage, signed Robt. Burfield Arundel to the top with winding holes and calendar aperture below. The case with caddy top surmounted by a brass carrying handle, brass finials to the corners and bracket foot terminals, 50” (51 cm) high [handle up], 10¼” (26 cm) wide.
