The exterior engraved with scenic panels bordered in bands of intricate scrolling foliage and mounted with studded strap borders engraved with ropetwist, with a knopped swing handle to the lid, original key, and squat bun feet. The lid rising to reveal an elaborate lock mechanism embellished with lavish scrolls of undulating flowers and foliage. 5½ in (14 cm) high [handle down], 10¼ in (26 cm) wide, 5½ in (14 cm) deep.
