A Late 19th Century French Ormolu & Bronze Clock Garniture Set in the Louis XVI Style. The clock having a convex enamel dial painted with delicate swagged garlands of flowers, the movement striking a bell with Vincenti Medaille d’Argent stamp to the back plate and numbers 1443. The gilded case with foliate spandrels and stop-fluted sides surmounted by a cockerel, with the green/brown patinated bronze figure of a winged cherub stood on a pile of books alongside. The white marble socle adorned with gilt beading and raised on toupee feet 16” (41 cm) high. The candelabra cast in the form of a pair of bacchanalian infants wreathed in fruiting vine, carrying a gilded candle branch in each arm, 15” (38 cm) in height.
