An 18th Century Carved Coquilla Nut Snuff Box. The hinged rectangular cushion lid centred by a raised oval medallion emblazoned with profile of windswept angel holding a cross, surrounded by undulating scrolls of foliage. The design repeated on the base with bouquets of flowers to the sides and rose blooms with bands of acanthus capping each end, 3¾” x 2” x 1½” (9.5 cm x 5 cm x 4 cm).
