Set behind glass in a black & gilt verre eglomise mount and deep moulded giltwood frame. The verso with inscribed attribution to Charles Antoine Berny d’Ouville French Miniature Artist (1775-1842), circa 1835. The miniature 2½” x 2” (6.5 cm x 5 cm), the frame 9½” x 9” (24 cm x 23 cm).
