A Fine Late 19th Century Viennese Enamel & Gilt Bronze Figural Table Clock. The champlevé enameled dial set in an oval case painted with ‘The Birth of Venus’ to the back and surmounted by a gilt cherub stood upon a clump of scrolled leaves. The interior decorated with woman in classical landscape. The case elevated on the head of a gilt figure of Cupid sat on a post entwined with twisted wire, mounted on a domed hemispherical base painted with classical love scenes in three panels, and intricate scrollwork to the underside, 7½” (19 cm) in height.
