Three Various 19th Century Sailor’s Seam Rubbers. The largest of ebony with wedge-shaped end on a ringed baluster knop handle, 4¾” (12 cm) in length. The next scratch carved with ‘R’ to the wedge, various initials to the handle with a faceted terminal, 4½” (11 cm) in length. The smallest with a scratch carved crossed cipher to the end and initials S and J either side of the wedge, 3¼” (8 cm) in length.*
