A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Polychromed Wooden Carving possibly a Newel Post Finial. The piece surmounted by a leonine head with curly mane tumbling down a long neck to a crowned collar above a hollowed voluted-scroll base crested with acanthus and adorned with a pendant garland of flowers, 16” (41 cm) in height.
