A Pair of Georgian Silver Sauce Tureens with assay marks for London 1784 and Benjamin Mountigue or Mordecai’s maker’s punch. The twin handled boat-shaped bodies standing on oval pedestal feet edged with beading 5½” (14 cm) high, 8¼” (21 cm) wide across the handles.. [Provenance Mary Cooke, 5th Dec 1986, described as ‘Butter Boats’ and noted on invoice as never having covers].
