Description
A Small Group of Antique Treen: An early 19th century pole lathe turned lacquered sycamore salt with groove turning to the bowl on a short stem and spreading foot, 2½” (6.4 cm) high, 2 3/8 ” ((6 cm) in diameter. A 19th century fruitwood cup; the shallow bowl with splayed sides on a baluster knopped stem and round moulded foot, 4” (10 cm) in height. A small fruitwood salt with campana shaped bowl on a waisted stem and round moulded foot, 2½” (6.4 cm) high, 2” (5 cm) in diameter. A turned beechwood open-topped barrel shaped container turned with reeded bands to the sides, 3” (7.5 cm) in height. A 19th century baluster turned nut spice jar with domed screw-on lid 3” (1.5 cm) in height. Another small container of tapering cylindrical form, ringed with groove turning and having a moulded foot and lift-off flat-topped lid centred by a finial knop, 2¼” (6 cm) in height.*
