A Chinese 19th Century Lacquered Cabinet with gilded decoration on black ground panels framed by red lacquered borders and moulding. The upper cupboard having fielded panel doors decorated with warriors on horseback flanked by vertical side panels of calligraphy, above two mid height drawers and a pair of panel doors below. The door panels ornamented with censors below contorted branches of leaves and flowers. The drawers fitted with brass bat shaped escutcheons with engraved details and hinged keyhole covers, above swing handles, 58¼ in (148 cm) high, 36½ in (92.5 cm) wide, 19½ in (49.5 cm) deep.
