The interior inscribed ‘ ‘A.F St Clair Armitage Feb 1st 1898’ with a list of naval ships dating from 1892 to 1920 inscribed around the exterior (Alfred Frank St Clair Armitage became sub-lieutenant in Her Majesty’s Fleet 15th May 1898).
