Description
An 18th Century North Italian Painted Provincial Desk Box with Dressing Mirror. The arch topped mirror in a moulded silver gilt frame flanked by turned columns of simulated rouge royale marble. The box form base having a lip-moulded slope front on iron hinges enclosing cubby holes above a drawer below, decorated with shaped geometric panels of faux bardiglio marble bordered by channel moulding, 39½” (100 cm) high, 24½” (62 cm) wide, 13” (33 cm) deep.
