Another by Syroco of New York moulded as the bust of ‘Mr Pickwick’ surmounting a centre cut helix, circa 1930, 8” (20 cm) in length. And an Italian figure by Antonio Riffeser carved from wood in the form of a sailor playing an accordion, his head lifting to reveal a centre cut helix, 6½” (16.5 cm) in height.
