A George III Irish Mahogany Pembroke Gentleman’s Dressing Table stamped R STRAHAN (Robert Strahan, Dublin founded 1776). The top having a moulded edge with drop leaves on fly brackets either side and a lift up section to the centre fitted with a recessed ring pull catch, rising to reveal a dressing mirror. The frieze having with a swing handle and enclosing a partitioned drawer with a slide top enclosing lidded compartments; one being a side opening pen & ink drawer, supported on vertical split legs. 28½” (72 cm) high, 26” (66 cm) wide [leaves folded], 42½” (108 cm) [leaves up], 30” (76 cm) deep.
