A Vintage Musical Cigarette/Desk Box inlaid with chequer bands, and a Pair of Arts & Crafts Style Mahogany Candlesticks. The box front adorned with a scenic embossed sheet metal plaque, the hinged lid surmounted by a recumbent lion alongside a calendar display, rising with the hinged sides opening to reveal a three tiered cigarette holder and ashtrays on mirror backed ledges either side, 7” (18 cm) high, 8½” (22 cm) wide, 5” (13 cm) deep. The candlesticks with dimpled brass sockets and vertical chequered strings running down the round turned stems leading down to octagonal bases, 9” (23 cm) in height.
