A Rare and Impressive Vintage Silver Zuni Necklace by the world renowned Dan Simplicio, circa 1950’s/60’s. The naturalistic Morenci turquise nuggets with beautiful quartz inclusions and red branch coral set in hand cut bezzels with silver foliate framing attached to a heavy hand made chain. The museum quality piece is unstamped and unsigned but the naturalistic use of materials is prominent in Dan Simplicio pieces, a similar piece can be seen in ”Southwest Silver jewelry” by Paula Baxter, pg 150. Approx. 49cm in length, The largest decorative stones approx.5cm tall, 9cm wide. The smaller decorative stones approx. 3cm tall, 7cm wide.
