An Unusual 18th Century Oak Box carved with decorative entwined strap-work and scrolling initials raised against a pitted ground and dated 11-12-1776. The deep scotia moulded lid centred by a small square box with a green baize cushioned top. The partitioned interior housing a carved inscribed ”This box was in the possession of Queen Charlotte” (wife of George III. 6 in (15 cm) high, 7 in (18 cm) square.
