The fold-over demi-lune top on butterfly hinges above a carved frieze of arabesque strap-work adorned with oval bosses and facetted ‘jewel’ appliqués, standing on three turned columnar legs pegged with bowed front and plain back stretchers, 4” (10 cm) high, 5½” (14 cm) wide.
