A Rare 18th Century Wig Powdering Bellows in original untouched ‘country house’ condition, formerly from the Pinto and Shepherd collections. The piece having the original brass nozzle, leather bellows (tear to one side) and boards; probably sycamore with an iron cover to one sliding open to access the powder inserting hole and reveal traces of residual wig powder within. Bearing an ‘E Pinto Collection’ paper label partially overlaid with a ‘WJ Shepherd Collection’ label, 6½” (16.5 cm) in length.
