Attributed to Giacomo Raffaelli (1753-1836) Rome. A Late 18th/Early 19th Century ‘Grand Tour’ Micro Mosaic Paper Weight ‘Doves of Pliny’. The serpentine edged rectangular black marble panel inset with tiny coloured tessera depicting doves drinking from a bowl; copied from Hadrian’s villa, 6¾” x 4¾” (17 cm x 12 cm).
