Description
A Pair of Unusual 19th Century Walnut High-backed Side Chairs. The upholstered T-shaped back panels and padded seats covered in a canvas weave fabric with brick-stitched wool-work scrolls of stylised flower and foliage. The backs surmounted by pierced cresting rails carved with C-scrolls centred by a concaved six point star, above barley twist side columns. The seats flanked by carved side rails raised on cabriole legs carved with cabochons and scroll terminals, on ceramic castors, 44½” (113 cm) high, 18” (46 cm) wide.
