A 19th Century Oval Pietra Dura Jewellery Casket with gilt metal mounts, lock & key. The top having six near square panels inlaid with coloured stones depicting sprays of flowers, with a white rose, forget-me-not and jasmine posy to the oval lid. The gilt metal frame adorned with strings of beading and raised on foliate scrolling feet. The interior lined in deep blue velvet, 4” (10 cm) high, 5¾” (15 m) wide, 4¼” (11 cm) deep.
