A Pair of 18th Century Stipple Engravings after George Morland; ‘The Farmer’s Visit to His Married Daughter in Town’ Circa 1789, engraved by W. Bond and ‘The Visit Returned in the Country’ by W. Nutter, set in beaded and gadrooned gilt frames 14” (36 cm) in diameter. One with a 1898 newspaper cutting from ‘The Athenæeum’ attached to the back listing them amongst a sale of engravings by Messrs Christie, Manson & Woods.
