A Good Quality 19th Century Hanging Wooden Lantern & Bracket enhanced with gilding. The hexagonal lantern having arcaded red glass side panels set in pierced twin-arch topped frames on tall pillars with balustraded base rails, flanked by columns between moulded break front buttresses. The base centred by a faceted pendant finial. The top surmounted by six carved S-scroll arms adorned with crested plantain leaves and rosette roundels to the terminals, radiating from a central hexagonal knop bearing the screw thread suspension rod. The bracket with dentil moulding above carved panels depicting Lamb of God, S-scrolls and foliate motifs. 39½” (100 cm) in height.
