A Large 19th Century Carved Walnut Fauteuil in the Louis XIII style. The rectangular upholstered back and sprung seat covered in a sculpted plush fabric of faded crimson & old gold. The swept scroll-end arms carved with sprays of acanthus and shell motifs. The S-scroll legs on reeded square feet united by a shaped H-stretcher with carved embellishment to the cross bar. 42½” (100 cm) high, 25” (64 cm) wide, the seat 17½” (44 cm) high.
