A Fine Early Victorian Holland & Sons Walnut Sutherland Table. The oval moulded drop-leaf top of mellow golden colour, standing on pierced baluster end supports united by a turned centre stretcher capped with turned roundels centring the supports, with down-curved canted legs on brass caps and castors. The leaves supported by turned swing-out tapering legs. Stamped ‘Holland & Sons’ to the under edge of one of the end supports, also stamped three times to the underside ‘W. Bassett’. 28½” (73 cm) high, 30” (76 cm) wide, 6” (15 cm) deep [leaves down] extending to 43” (109 cm) [leaves up].
