Description
A 16th Century Flemish Oak Buffet. The moulded top above an upper cupboard with Romayne panel sides and doors carved with profile portrait heads encircled by laurel wreaths and trefoil sprigs to the corners. The doors flanking a centre panel enriched with a Renaissance style pendant garland of stylised foliage. The frieze carved with guilloche bands to the sides and housing a small centre drawer flanked by side drawers enriched with zoomorphic figures amidst scrolling foliage. The upright divides and stile supports adorned with turned, lobed and crested split spindle appliqués with pendant finials to the frieze, 41” (105 cm) high, 43 (110 cm) wide,m 18” (46 cm) deep.
