Description
A Set of Six 18th Spanish Carved Walnut & Tooled Leather Chairs. The shaped backs and seats covered in intricately tooled leather afixed with decorative brass studs and surmounted by finials to the uprights. The backs emblazoned with urns cascading flowers & foliage flanked by figures with further figures dangling from pendant garlands either side. The seats tooled with rosettes in quatrefoil panels and birds to the corners, raised on carved cabriole legs with ball & claw feet, and united by pierced front rails carved with swirling flowers and foliage beneath swan-neck pediments, with turned stretchers to the sides and rear. 48” (122 cm) high, the seats 19” ((48 cm) high, 18½” (47 cm) wide.
