The brooch finely worked with a classical female figure sat with her dog, holding a basket of new born infants on her lap with a small winged cherub flying above (hairline crack to the shell) approx 52mm x 42mm, in a gold tone mounting entwined with engraved bands with voluted ends, and fitted with a safety chain. The unmounted piece finely carved with a semi-clad nymph on a unicycle scattering broken arrow heads, with a falling laurel wreath and crown to her side approx 60 mm x 50 mm.
