A Fabulous Mid 17th Century Flemish Carved Oak & Ebony Veneered Cupboard in two sections. The upper & lower cupboard doors ornamented with elaborate geometric moulding contrasted with ebony veneers and centred by small cushion-front panels bordered with ripple moulding. The upper pilasters carved with lion-masks bearing rings in their mouths above pendant garlands of flowers. The lower door divides headed by a carved caryatid to the centre and atlantes either side bearing ionic capitals on their heads and rising above tall ebony veneered pilasters tapering down to stylised paw feet. The carved frieze adorned with a row of ebonised baguette appliqués. The panelled sides inlaid with geometric bands. Standing on boldly turned bun feet, 64” (163 cm) high, 63” (160 cm) wide, 25” (64 cm) deep.
