A Fine 17th Century Oak Credence Table. The canted two-part fold-over top on iron butterfly hinges, opening out to form an octagon supported by a swing-out gate to the rear. The frieze enriched with lunette carving and stamped with punchwork embellishments above arcaded guilloche carved apron pieces with foliate carved spandrels. The gun-barrel turned legs leading down to an under-shelf on lunette rails and turned feet,34 (88 cm) high, 35” (89 cm) wide, 17” (43 cm) deep.
