A 17th Century Child’s Boarded Oak Coffer. The lid having edge-moulding and iron loop hinges. The front board carved with a stepped and flared U-curved reeded band entwined with scrolling stems issuing roses, stylised thistles, cinqfoils and clusters of grapes defined against and recessed matted ground. The splayed end boards with cut-in arches form the feet, 18½ in (47 cm) high, 26½ in (67 cms) wide, 13½ in (34 cm) deep.
