A Superb Early 19th Century Treen ‘Ball & Cage’ Knitting Sheath, intricately chip carved with geometric ornamentation to the square section haft incorporating a motif of interlaced hearts below the rolling ball. The reverse carved ”M:Gash” and dated 1812. 8” (20.5 cm) in length.
