Description
Three Pieces of Early 19th Century Treen: A coquilla nut carved as a crouching monkey wearing a hooded coat and hat with inset bead eyes and finial, 2½” (6.5 cm) in height. A snuff bottle with a screw on lid carved in the form of a moustached man surmounted by a turned ivory finial, above a globular container with engine engraved ornamentation, 3¼” (8.5 cm) in height. And a snuff box carved as a recumbent ram with inset eyes and a hinged lid to it’s back, 2½” (6.5 cm) in length.
