The oval receptacle bound with brass straps and having brass lion masks bearing ring handles either side and a sheet brass liner. The base with gadrooned top raised on four cabriole legs enriched with sprays of acanthus and terminating on hairy paw feet, 26½” (67 cm) high, 23½” (60 cm) wide, 18½” (47 cm) deep.
