A Good Harlequin Set of Eight Late 17th/Early 18th century Joined Oak Backstools attributed to South Lancashire. The deep domed top rails and panel backs carved with characteristic tulips & calendula amidst leafy scrolls between plain uprights surmounted by pyramidal finials. The planked seats on turned legs united by high turned front stretchers with plain rails to the sides and rear. Each seat having a pad cushion covered in beige fabric printed with terracotta oak leaves & acorns.
