Description
A Fine Victorian Carved & Inlaid Walnut Nine Piece Salon Suite comprising of a set of six chairs, a button-backed settee, armchair & nursing chair covered in faun velvet edged with braid. The frames enhanced with burr-figured bands outlined in stringing; the top rails centred by small oval burr figured panels inlaid with scrolling satinwood motifs flanked by carved trails of ivy defined against nail pitted reserves, with moulded spandrel panels of inlay either side. The six chairs having elaborately pierced and carved back splats. Standing on turned legs with white ceramic castors to the settee, armchair and nursing chair.
