The swept cresting rail and conforming front rail carved with scrolls of foliage terminating in voluted ends with further scroll carving adorning the frame of the oval caned back panel. The barleytwist uprights surmounted by finials. The sweeping arms enriched with sprays of acanthus and rosettes to the scroll terminals, resting on barley-twist posts spiralling down to the caned seat protected by a later drop-on cushioned seat upholstered in printed chintz fabric. Standing on spiral turned legs and H-form stretcher with floral carving to the tenon blocks, 118 cm high, 64 cm wide, 56 cm deep (46½” h. 25” w. 22” d.)
