Description
A Fine 17th Century Flemish Carved Oak Four-door Cupboard, Brugges, Circa 1630. The upper cupboard having carved panel doors depicting hunting scenes flanked by side and centre pilasters relief carved with cherubs bearing scrolled capitals on their heads and stood upon grotesque masked corbels. The frieze housing two drawers carved with opulent scrolls of fruiting zoomorphic foliage centred by lion masks and harbouring birds amongst the leaves. The base cupboard having two intricate geometrically moulded doors with cherub heads to the centres and caryatids either side, standing on bun feet 67” (170 cm) high, 54” (137 cm) wide, 23¾” (60 cm) deep.
