A 16th Century Oak Coffer (A/F). The planked lid with cleated ends. The chest composed of board, single piece planks with through dove-tail jointed sides reinforced with later iron corner brackets. The front board carved with four parchemin panels with a lock to the centre. The piece raised on sledge feet and fitted with iron swing carrying handles either side, 26 in (66 cm) high, 53½ in (136 cm) wide, 23½ in (60 cm) deep.
