The frieze adorned with gilt bronze mounts ornately cast with floral garlands swagged between classical urns tied in fluttering ribbons, and supported by four bronze sphinxes wearing gilded crowns, seated on break-front rectangular plinths projecting from a circular drum base embellished with anthemion inlay, 36¼” (92 cm) high, 55” (140 cm) in diameter.
