The rectangular top centred by an oval panel of figured veneer surrounded by sprays of flowers emanating from cornucopia either side, defined against a dark veneered ground and framed by a chevron banded border. The frieze ornamented with trailing flowers and housing a drawer. Standing on ebonised barleytwist legs with bun feet, united by a flat X-from stretcher with a central roundel emblazoned with a parquetry compass star. 30½ in (77.5 cm) high, 38½ in (97.5 cm) wide, 21 in (53 cm) deep.
