The sloped rectangular lid on elaborately pierced brass hinges attached to the backboard; the decoratively shaped top incorporating a fretted suspension hole. The box fitted with a drawer to the base with a brass swing handle on winged backplate enriched with engraving, opening to reveal a partitioned interior. 17½” (44.5 cm) high, 11¼” (28.5 cm) wide, 7½” (19 cm) deep.
