A Set of Eight 17th Century Style ‘Derbyshire’ Oak Chairs of sturdy construction. Each chair having two scallop-edged crescent shaped back bars boldly carved with voluted scrolls and adorned with pendant acorn finials. The uprights having lobe cut scroll finials and ornamental split spindle appliqués. The plank seats with feather-filled swab cushions covered in machine made ‘needepoint’ fabric edged with fringing and tied on by tasseled cord. The ball & fillet turned legs united by a turned front stretcher and plain rails to the sides and rear.
