A Late 16th/Early 17th Century Joined Oak & Parquetry Armchair, probably Scottish. The rectangular back inlaid with a compass star within a lozenge threaded through with a border band and framed by moulding, beneath a moulded top rail. The scroll end arms on rising baluster posts leading down to a planked seat above moulded rials and baluster turned legs united by stretchers. 38¾ in (98.5 cm) high, 24 in (51 cm) wide.
