A Small and Fine Elizabethan Inlaid Oak Canted Court Cupboard. The top rail inlaid with alternate panels of decorative parquetry and finely figured root-wood edged with stringing and having a foliate carved corbel to the centre and sides. The cupboard having a recessed panel door and canted side panels in carved deep-moulded frames enhanced with stain; each panel quartered by bands of stringing into four divisions ornamented with parquetry to the sides, and rootwood to the door. The turned side posts with cup & cover bulbs enriched with gadrooning and carved ornamentation. The mid height frieze housing a long drawer on side groove runners below a band of chevron inlay, with an open base shelf on square block feet, 44½ in (113 cm) high, 49½ in (125.5 cm) wide, 15 in (38 cm) deep.
