A Small 17th Century English Joined Oak Wainscot Chair. The run moulded top rail jutting out either side of the moulded uprights and framing an arcaded back panel carved with a quatrefoil knot within a roundel of rippling strapwork below a flower filled lozenge motif. The arch enhanced with chip carved and gouge moulding. The arms on baluster knop posts leading down to a plank seat on turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 36¼” (92 cm) high, 23” (60 cm) wide. The seat 14½” (37 cm) high.*
